Internet Marketing News, Tips and Tricks Around the Web Vol. 2

In my last post I started something I thought would be pretty useful to my fellow Internet marketers and so far, I’ve gotten nothing but positive reviews.

Got a little caught up in things that had to be taken care of on the home front (I’m sure you know how that goes) but we’re still here.

Ran into a couple of things that may interest you, so here we go.

There’s an excellent post gaining ground over at ProBlogger that covers a subject many Internet marketers have started to neglect, what with the advent of social media marketing and all, many people believe email marketing is either dead or on it’s way out.

Well, Abby Johnson from WebProNews recently covered a variety of topics including why email marketing is not dead – internet marketing for smart people – the new FTC regulations and touched on a new project she’s working on with Brian Clark and Chris Brogan.

You can check this very informative video over out at ProBlogger.com

In another interesting post, Eric Qualman, shared some interesting perspectives and helpful tips from his recently published book Socialnomics: How social media transforms the way we live and do business

The post reveals a simple four step plan for small businesses looking to get started with social media marketing and can be found at Socialnomics – Social Media Blog

Highly recommended. Excellent content.

Finally, I’d like to recommend an educational post I stumbled upon from the IdeaLaunch blog.

Did you know that font plays a huge part in your audience’s web content experience?

Your choice can both leave a gut impression (professional vs. amateur, polished vs. ragtag) and affect the effectiveness of your piece (readability, easy for scanning, cuts down on scrolling) – both of which can impact conversion rates (a.k.a. the amount of people who are willing to pay for your services or products).

Here are some quick tips to help you decide the best font for your website.

Hope this info helps and don’t forget to come back often as I’ll be updating these posts with more regularity from now on.

Thanks to everyone for the great feedback and if there’s anything at all you’d like to know about, or an Internet marketing topic you’d like me to focus on here at eBiz Profit Solutions, simply click on the contact tab at the top of the page and let me know what’s on your mind.

Talk with you again soon.

Latest Internet Marketing News

Today I decided to start a little something new on my blog.

I’m constantly getting emails from my readers asking for fresh information, the newest tips, tricks, techniques and ideas in the internet marketing world.

I’m also continuosly receiving feeds and information from around the Net on these very topics.

So, I thought it would be a good idea to periodically share some of this information, give a few of my own thoughts and share the source links so that others who are interested can dig deeper if they so choose.

One blog post in particular caught my attention straight away. I wanted to share this because it is very well written and answers a question I receive on almost a daily basis…

"How do I get good traffic to my website without a lot of out of pocket expense?"

Check out this answer given by Andrew, a fellow blogger at Internet Marketing Strategies.

"There is one hard and fast rule in generating income for your website: A gradual flow of web site traffic. If no one goes to your web site, it hardly bares a likelihood of generating an income. Several sites have tried and failed in doing Increase Website Traffic therefore, and these results to the sites demise.

It takes money to take care of an income generating web site; it also takes money to form money. – BUT, it doesn’t take a whole caboodle of cash to get web site traffic for your site." – Continue reading Top Five Ways to Create Low Value Website Traffic

Note: I think Andrew should have titled the post "Top Five Ways to Create High Value, Low Cost Website Traffic" but we understand what he means :-)

Another interesting blog post, written by Aussie blogger Sean Rasmussen, is geared towards business blogging and the benefits of making your blog interactive.

Sean says:

"A blog is an important marketing tool. It can effectively drive traffic to your website, or promote products from an affiliate marketing program. Unfortunately, few e-commerce business owners know how to truly use a blog to its ultimate advantage. If all you have on your blog is post after post of text written as sales letters, then you are missing out on the real point of this marketing tool." – Continue reading Tips on Making Your Blog More Interactive

Wow, so much to do, so little time. I’ve got to run right now, the wife just informed me we have some shopping to do. I had planned to give you quite a bit more , but duty calls.

I’ll be back a little later, so come back often. I have much to share.

Talk with you again soon
