Optimizing Your Website With Organic SEO Techniques

SEOUsing Organic SEO techniques requires a little more work from the webmaster, but it’s safer and in the end, a far more effective way of optimizing a web site for the search engines.

Organic SEO helps to keep Internet “pollution” to a minimum. So you are, in a sense, also helping the virtual environment!

In the following paragraphs, I’m going to introduce you to a few easy steps you can take to start using this type of search engine optimization.

You’re no doubt familiar with the basic concepts of search engine optimization, but are you familiar with organic SEO methods?

While search engine optimization is a significant aspect of any online business’ marketing plan, it has become increasingly standardized and mechanized.

Many SEO services and applications, simply use the same basic optimization recipe to enhance search engine rankings for their clients.

This has led to a lot of marketers using some very nasty search engine optimization methods to get results. These methods can be great for generating traffic, but in the end they make the Internet an uglier place.

These methods, known as “Black Hat” SEO, are just a plain bad idea. Not only do they frustrate potential users of your web site, but their effectiveness is short lived.

You see, Google and other search engines are constantly looking for ways to defeat Black Hat SEO techniques. When their efforts are successful – and it’s usually just a matter of time before they are – your time and money will be wasted.

Why spend money on search engine optimization that will be useless in just a few months? Worse yet, search engines aren’t just knocking these sites down in rank, they’re completely removing them from search results.

Some of these Black Hat methods include using cheap labor or robots to perform a number of tasks.

For example, sometimes these services will sign up to tons of forums and or social networking sites and simply spam the link to a site everywhere they can. This is a definite annoyance for many webmasters as it clutters their websites with meaningless links.

Link farms are another common type of Black Hat SEO. These sites are knockoffs of legitimate online directories, and are packed with links, many of which lead to very poor web sites. Some of them just link back and forth between each other and the link site, causing users to get lost in a sea of useless information.

Organic SEO techniques can be a great alternative to these Black Hat search engine optimization methods.

The main thing that people associate with web sites is their domain names. Domain names that feature the keywords that your website is targeting, are a great start to organic SEO.

Another related search engine optimization idea is to customize your web site’s title the same way – Feature the keywords that your site targets. Both of these elements are factors that search engines use to rank a site.

There are many more ways to optimize a site with organic SEO and I will be giving you much more in depth information on this subject in the next few days. These few tips however, will get you started.

Can't I Just Do My Own Search Engine Optimization?

Search Engine OptimizationOne thing most new website owners have in common is that they want their site to rank high with search engines, right away.

The truth of the matter is, your website isn’t going to be first on the list, especially when you’ve just launched it.

It takes a lot of preparation to get your site to rank high in the search engines.

You could pay an SEO specialist to work some optimization magic on your site, so that it gets a top ranking in those search engine results and help from some of today’s seo consultants is almost too easy to get.

But, there are a few other strategies you can employ by yourself  to help save money.

In order to have the best search engine ratings, remember that there are many different approaches that can get you there.

Let me show you something, that even the most inexperienced person can do to boost their website rank.

The first element of a website’s rank, is determined by it’s content.

A site without very much written material doesn’t provide much for the search engines to work with and won’t get a high ranking. Nonetheless, even if you yourself  know your niche or business well enough that you can generate your own content, it is important that you write using terms that your audience will be able to comprehend.

What is simple for you to understand might not be so simple for somebody unfamiliar with the subject.

One means of generating ideas, is to sit and imagine what someone looking for your product may search for.

Start out with a short list of five to ten keywords that describe your site. After you have your keywords, you can spend some time writing a little bit about each of them and address how it is that they relate to your business.

When you are done with this, you may discover that you have already written enough content to cover several different areas of your web page. You need to make sure that you add content like this periodically, at least every month if not every few weeks, so that the search engines will notice your site.

For further insights on search engine optimization, be sure to visit this site.

Besides having a lot of content you need to make sure you always have new content.

If you are adding or rewriting the content on pages with regularity, the search engines will notice the new content when they index your site and will, accordingly, move you up the rankings for the relevance of what you have written new.

Of course, the more links you are able to gain from other sites the better off you’ll be with those search engines too.

If you want to get better ranking in the search results for a particular key phrase or keyword, you can search it with Google. You will most likely find some type of directory of businesses which are related to yours that will allow you to add your link.

You can also do searches using keywords such as a specific area, and it will turn up multiple websites that are otherwise unrelated aside from where they’re located. If you use a directory to add your link to the mix they may charge you a fee, but it will be well worth it because these sites are already high ranking. Certain directories don’t cost anything and you might be able to dig up some of those, too.

Take some time to search for yourself.

Research should be your next task, or you may have done it already. After you’ve found the top ranked sites for your keywords or phrases, then you should find out how they achieved the rating they have.

All of the sites you find when you look up search engine optimization, will give you the same strategies I’ve just discussed and although it is not very hard, SEO can occasionally be confusing and it does take time.

So if you want to take the time to do it yourself, do it. If you don’t, hire someone to do it for you.

White Hat Parasite Hosting And SEO

SEO ColumsParasite hosting can be a great way to build links to your web site especially if you don’t have a lot of money to spend on SEO.

This method of link building is totally free and can give you a big boost in the SERPs.

In the following paragraphs you will learn just what parasite hosting is and how to use it to build links for SEO.

I want you to be confident that you can learn seo.

Parasite hosting can be summed up pretty easily: free blogs or web sites.

Somebody (probably a marketer) came up with this name to make sound mysterious or exotic.

There are a lot of sites out there that will allow you to build these blogs or sites for free and many have a page rank of 7 or higher.

Now even though your blog will not have that page rank, it still is a good thing because this puts you in a “good neighborhood” in the eyes of the search engines.

Some of the more popular and well known of these are Blogger (owned by Google), WordPress (a PR 9) and Squidoo. Some of the others you may or may not have heard of include Wetpaint, Bravenet and Livejournal.

All of these web sites will let you build free blogs or sites that you can then use to give your main web site one way back-links. To find a list of good parasite hosts just search for top free blogs or top free websites.

Taking advantage of this for SEO is easy.

Just put up a free blog (or several) using content related to your niche. It’s very important to make sure you only use articles or posts that are relevant to the market you are in. Within that content put an anchor text link or two pointing to the page of your site you want to boost the rankings for, how easy is that!

If you do not know how to make an anchor text link don’t worry. All these site provide you with a WYSIWYG editor to build your blog with. Simply highlight the text you want to use for your anchor text link, click the chain icon, put in the address to the page you want to link to and you’re done.

If you really want an SEO boost build several of these free sites and form a mini-net out of them.

A mini-net is simply a network of inter-linked sites. By linking several of these sites together you boost the quality of the links going to your main site. You can really get creative here and build more than one mini-net and have links going between them as well.

The next thing you will want to do to really turn up the link juice is to use social bookmarking on all the free sites you create. By doing this the links going from these free sites to your main web site will give even more SEO benefit.

Are you still reading this? Why aren’t you out there building links to your site?

You now have the know how necessary to use parasite hosting to get free one way back-links to help with your sites SEO. If you put this knowledge to use it will only be a matter of time before you see your web site in the top of the SERPs, so get moving.

We have only scratched the surface of search engine optimization here in this post. You can get more seo tactics by checking out this seo course.

Selecting Relevant Keywords for SEO

SEO search engine optimization, search engine marketingOne of the key elements that helps decide the success, or failure, of your search engine optimization (SEO) campaign is your keyword selection.

Although this may not appear to be much you have to do, choosing the right keyword to use for your website is one of the more arduous parts of the entire SEO process, especially if you aim to find one that will be most effective for your site’s search engine optimization.

When using keywords for SEO, you just need to abide by a few simple steps in order to effectively find the right keyword that will do the job.

There are also a couple of things that you need to look out for in order to avoid any problems when trying to optimize your web page.

Make a list

The first thing that you should do if you want to be able to use keywords effectively is to start out by making a list of “key” keywords or phrases that are relevant to the content of your site.

By doing this, it can essentially lead you to create or discover more keywords or phrases that may blossom from the original one that you have chosen.

Choose key phrases or words

Once you’ve made a list, try to decide on ones that contain a “key” keyword or phrase that can help you identify your site’s content. Let’s say your site’s content is all about cars, using cars as a keyword won’t put you high up in the page ranking of search engines, especially since a lot of sites or pages have that as a keyword.

Try to avoid making use of words or phrases that are too general, as this will not help improve your page ranking.

By adding other key terms to your chosen keyword, such as “second-hand cars”, or “second-hand sports cars” will actually help improve your chances of going up higher in the page rankings. Just get sure that these are relevant to your site’s content.

Check your competition

It also helps if you took the time to search for keywords or phrases that your competition are using so that you can narrow down which ones to use, and which ones to avoid. There is no sense in making use of a type of keyword or phrase, such as “cars”, which a lot or most of your competition are using as well, and if their site’s are ranked high up in the search engine’s index, then you might have a difficult time going up against that.

Use your location

You can also improve your chances of getting a much better page ranking result if you incorporate your location to the keyword or phrase that you are trying to use. Let’s say your business is located somewhere in Minnesota, by simply adding the word “Minnesota” to your keyword selection (“Minnesota second-hand sports cars”), you can fair better in your page ranking.

However, this type of method usually entails that people are planning on seeing you in person when they do searches like this, so make sure that you only utilize this technique if you are open to the idea of them visiting you in person.

Use your niche

Always try to choose the keyword that you specialize in, or at least the one that offers you the most profit.

Keep in mind that you want to offer the keyword that best describes your business, but if the search volume of users is leaning towards one that isn’t your main product, then you can actually opt to use that keyword instead, just as long as that keyword is still related or related to your site’s content.

5 Steps to Optimizing Keywords for Targeted Traffic

SEOIf you’ve been attempting to make money online for any amount of time, you have heard of search engine optimization, SEO  and SEO services.

Search Engine Optimization or SEO, is the process of using keywords to draw targeted traffic to your online business.

Keywords and keyword phrases are  two very important components of SEO. They are used in conjunction with other optimization techniques to bring targeted traffic to your website(s).

You will find keywords used in your headlines, content and elsewhere, appeal to search engine robots. The engines employ robots or “spiders”, to visit and collect information from your website for listing in their SERPS (search engine results pages).

But, you don’t want to please just the spiders.

You should also use highly specific words that your potential customers may choose to search for your website. Then, when your content does rank within the first page of search results, yours will be the first link people see when searching for those words.

Website content is not just something for visitors to read. It is also a good way for you to make sure that the correct visitors arrive at your site in the first place. It is very important that you use the right keywords and keyword phrases across your site, so that you gain the acceptance of the search engines and become visible.

Doing your Homework.

If you thought that homework stopped when you graduated from school, you’ve got another thing coming.

If you are in business, then you will be learning constantly for as long as you want to take your business as far as you possibly can. To that end, it is time to do a little homework for your content – keyword research.

Don’t worry, you don’t have to be a research expert to be successful at this task. Keyword research is simply finding the words that will rank your content and your website head and shoulders above the rest.

Are you ready?

Conducting Keyword Research

Here are 5 things  you can do to get started:

1. Create a list of words

Put yourself in the customer’s shoes. If you were them, what word would you use to help find your site? Write as many of these down as possible. Even better, use an Excel spreadsheet or similar, as it would be easier to work with later. Choose single words and multiple word phrases.

2. Ask your customers

You have existing customers. Use surveys to determine how they found you. If it was through an Internet search ask what words they used. It seems too easy, but you’d be surprised at just how many online business owners overlook this simple resource.

3. Use keyword software tools

They are especially helpful if you have determined your keyword list already. By entering the keywords, the software will tell you if they are likely to be good enough to reach your prospects.

4. Now analyze your data

Take your list and condense it, so that you are left with just the keywords most likely to succeed. Rank these keywords, first to last.

5. Try them out

Don’t use all of them at one time, but keep track of which ones you use and for how long. Using website management tools you can find out how much traffic and conversion (how many people used your keyword content as a means to do something – click, sign up, or buy) rates changed.

You obviously already use content on your site, but maybe it isn’t working well enough. The good news is that there are ways to make it better and using the proper keywords and keyword phrases is one of them.

Using Online Business Services For Astounding SEO Gains

Online Business Services Ideally, your Facebook and Twitter programs should interact with your blog, as you create awareness and show your expertise. Your blog should always be educational and informative as this, once again, helps to rapidly build up your credibility.

When you set up a blog, you can use a number of great website development tools to help you expand it.

Consider syndication, where your blog posts are sent to other blogs on the Internet, where the owners are looking for great, targeted content in your niche. Of the many seo services out there, this can be one of the most powerful techniques.

One fundamental thought you need to bear in mind is that people are always looking for social proof before they buy something online. As such, your main sales site should include as many great testimonials as you can.

Look at top ranked sites such as Amazon.com, who fully rely on the social proof phenomenon. You can read any number of items of feedback related to every single item that they sell. They even show you “what others bought” to give you an additional “feel-good” bonus.

When it comes to your blog, try and establish an interactive relationship with your readers. The commenting area in a blog is very important and if a thread starts, do everything that you can to keep it going, even if there is a small element of controversy contained within!

The idea is to convince visitors that your blog is the place to be and encourage them to sign up for your RSS feed, bookmark and come back.

Bookmarking sites abound on the Internet. Here you’ll come across virtual social networks, where like-minded individuals get together to share their interest in the subject or niche. Sometimes you can find bookmarking sites that are really targeted, such as technology, while others are more generic.

It’s always a good idea to investigate the best bookmarking sites for your niche and to join. As we have said before, regular maintenance and involvement is most beneficial. Your bookmarking accounts should be personalised, with photographs, biographies and you should aim to establish a friend network within.

Bookmarking is a powerful tool and you can certainly act to bookmark your own posts, but when others do this it is a lot more powerful. Maybe you can find club membership where others would bookmark your content, for you? Through a reciprocal arrangement and for best effect, you would bookmark the other members’ content. If this seems like a lot of work, virtual assistant services are available that will bookmark content on your behalf.

Bookmarking can be very powerful, especially if you have something unusual, unique or emotive to promote. Indeed, if the content really is stirring it can create a viral response and inspire waves of traffic. Finally, whenever you post something on your blog, make sure that it is “pinged,” as part of the notification service that shows the search engines that you have new and interesting material on your site.

1 Web Promotion: Insider Tips on How to Recognize the SEO Scams

Let’s first define SEO.

It is an acronym for ‘search engine optimization’.

You can save a lot of time and potentially improve your website by considering to hire an SEO company or a professional, but there are certain facts you need to be aware of.

Number one, You need to make sure to figure out the pros and cons as well as the damage that an un-professional SEO can do to your site.

1WebPromotion.com provides useful services for website owners, including:

  • Review of your site content or structure
  • Technical advice on website development: for example, hosting, redirects, error pages, use of JavaScript
  • Content development

  • Expertise in specific markets and geographies

Remember that the search results page at Google often includes paid advertising along with free organic search results.

Purchasing advertising spots with Google won’t have any effect on your site’s appearance in Google’s search results.

Google does not ask for money to include or rank sites in their search results, and it does not cost anything to get indexed in Google.

Free resources from Google, such as Webmaster Tools, Webmaster Central blog, and discussion groups can provide you with a terrific information on how to optimize your site for natural search results, but before beginning your search for an SEO, it’s a great idea to become an educated consumer and get familiar with how search engines work.

I recommend starting here:

Google Webmaster Guidelines

Google 101: How Google crawls, indexes and serves the web

If you’re not very well versed in SEO, then it’s high time you realized that you need an SEO company to promote your website. And while SEOs can provide clients with valuable services, some unethical SEOs have given the industry a bad name through their overly aggressive and often ‘black-hat’ marketing techniques and their attempts to manipulate search engine results in questionable ways.

Practices that violate search engine guidelines may result in losing popularity or even getting banned from their index.

Here are some things to consider.

Beware of SEO firms and consultants that send you an email out of the blue.

Amazingly, even Google gets these spam emails: "Dear google.com, I visited your website and noticed that you are not listed in most of the major search engines and directories…"

The #1 advice from Google says to stay away from SEOs that claim to guarantee #1 rankings, tells you about a ‘special relationship’ with Google, or advertises an ‘express submit’ to Google.

There is no paid or express submit for Google.

In fact, the only way is to go to Google directly and add your URL or submit a Sitemap.

Beware of companies that are secretive or won’t disclose what they do.

Get explanations if you have any questions.

If an SEO company uses ‘black-hat’ techniques like keyword stuffing, creating doorway pages, domain redirects etc., your site could be permanently damaged and removed from Google’s index. However, you will be responsible for any actions of any companies you hire, so it’s best to be sure to know how they intend to "help" you before you begin.

You should never have to link to an SEO website at all costs, do not fall for SEOs that tell you about the power of "free-for-all" links, link exchange schemes, or submitting your site to thousands of search engines. These are just scams and do not improve your results in any way.

Be sure to understand where the money goes. There are other scammers who will collect money from you and just buy top placements (paid advertising) on other websites. Understand that getting listed in the advertising section is totally different from appearing in the natural search results.

The most common abuses a website owner is likely to encounter

One of most common scams is the creation of "shadow" domains that channel users to another site by using deceptive redirection scripts. These deceptive domains often will be owned and operated by the SEO company who claims to be working on your behalf. However, if the relationship sours, the company may redirect domain to a different domain, or even to a competitor’s site.

Another unethical practice is to use "doorway" pages stuffed with keywords on your site somewhere. The SEO convinces you that this will make the page more relevant for more queries.

This is totally false because individual pages are rarely relevant for a broad range of keywords. More dangerous, however, is that these doorway pages often contain hidden links to the SEO’s other clients as well. Such practices drain away the link popularity of your site and route it to the SEO and its clients, which may include sites with undesirable or illegal content.

Other things to look out for

Here are a few warnings to let you know that you may be dealing with a rogue SEO. It’s far from a comprehensive list, so if you have any questions, you should trust your instincts.

By all means, feel free to walk away if the SEO:

  • Owns or operates shadow domains
  • Creates or stuffs links on doorway pages
  • Offers to sell keywords in the address bar
  • Doesn’t distinguish between organic and paid search results
  • Guarantees top ranking, but only on obscure, unwanted keywords
  • Asks your financial login details, credit card numbers etc.
  • Operates with multiple names or unknown WHOIS info
  • Gets traffic from "fake" search engines, spyware, or scumware
  • Has had domains removed from Google’s index
  • Requests your FTP account or root access to your server

The Experts at 1WebPromotion.com are capable of handling your SEO and website promotion using completely ‘white-hat’ tactics that the search engine love. They will never use any ‘unethical’ means to deceive the search engines. They are top experts and they know what they are doing..

If you own a website, then you MUST market your website to Search Engines. Go to 1webpromotion.com to see how you can get this done for free by leading "search engine marketing" and "optimization" experts.
